Very sweet fragrance
Ever since the glorious heyday of rose growing in Luxembourg, several Luxembourg varieties have been dedicated to members of the Grand Ducal family. True to this tradition, in 2016 Lëtzebuerger Rousefrënn gave a magnificent shrub rose to H.R.H. Princess Stéphanie, future Grand Duchess of Luxembourg. The hereditary Grand Duchess has a keen interest in classical music and the arts. She is the chair of the Board of Governors of the Musée d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean (Grand Duke Jean Museum of Modern Art, MUDAM).
The beautiful delicate apricot-coloured flowers of ‘Princesse Stéphanie Grande-Duchesse héritière de Luxembourg’ open out into magnificent rosettes of around 7 cm. They exude a very subtle scent of green tea. This modern rosebush with nostalgic charm flowers for many months. It is very hardy and doesn’t require any chemical treatments.
