Grand Duch­ess Maria Tere­sa is very invol­ved in huma­ni­ta­ri­an action. She is a UNESCO Good­will Ambassa­dor in the fight against pover­ty, and sin­ce April 2007 the Grand Duch­ess has also been a UNICEF Emi­nent Advo­ca­te for Child­ren and the pre­si­dent of the Luxem­bourg Red Cross.

This rose­bush with ele­gant dark pink buds was named by H.R.H. the Grand Duch­ess Maria Tere­sa during the Euro­pean Con­gress of the World Fede­ra­ti­on of Rose Socie­ties in 2007 in Luxem­bourg. The pink flowers that are still clo­sed and tho­se that have alre­a­dy ope­ned out, show­ing their gold sta­mens, offer a beau­tiful con­trast throug­hout its flowe­ring sea­son. It has fresh green lea­ves. This plant enjoys a sun­ny and airy location.
